薪にするアカメガシワの幹を割ると、6センチを超える巨大なカミキリムシの幼虫が出てきました。
ミヤマカミキリか、ウスバカミキリの幼虫です。ミヤマカミキリは、コナラなどブナ科やイチジクの害虫として知られています。ウスバカミキリは、さまざまな広葉樹や針葉樹の枯れかけた木で育ちます。フンの感じから、ウスバカミキリだと思います。
なお、アカメガシワの幹にある大きな傷は、コウモリガやボクトウガの幼虫が作ります。
